I was kinda disappointed that his voice was shot. He was using one of those pitch perfect processors it was very apparent. He sounded robotic because of it. It also must suck when it rains on a grand piano, but maybe it was covered. They never showed it from a distance or anything. Good camera work I suppose.

Just an effects processor sort of thing that works I think by detecting what pitch you're singing, and if you're off by a few microtones it corrects it. It might also be able to be programmed for different songs.

I agree...when he first started out, it was a little shaky. And like you said in so many words - 'singing in the rain, ain't the easiest thing' to do. In fact, it's really awful, and most uncomfortable - but 'the show must go on'. By the way- what's a pitch perfect processor? When I was singing and had to perform under less than pleasant conditions - we never had anything like that - lol. Is it the same as "autotune"? We had a pitch fork and a prayer back in the day. It's almost unnatural when you think about it - the natual voice has its own fluxuations...breathiness - a perfect pitch would sound mechanical - I would think - although with today's technology, I am sure somebody listening would hardly know the difference.

Given the circumstances, I think he did okay. Could have been a lot better though.

My sister thought that he was singing for half-time. She was so disappointed.
