I have two...a small female and a Huge male. They are terrific pets. An absolute riot. As long as you make sure they have been descented and you clean there cage or litter box very regularily, you will love them. They are highly active pets and due best if not left in a cage all the time. They are very currious and are a lot of fun to play with and watch. Easy keepers. When buying one make sure you do not get one that nibbles at you at all cause they can turn out to be biters. Most though are just a bundle of funny energy. I absolutly LOVE my little guys. Make sure that you don't let them get overly bored, try to give them new things and activities to keep their mind active and they will be better pets because of it. (clamer and more content).

Ferrets can make wonderful pets for the right people.
They require a large escape proof cage, lots of outside cage time, a good diet(try to avoid ferret foods with fish in them- it leads to stinky poops), lots of toys to keep them out of trouble. It's also a good idea to have an experienced ferret vet on hand as ferrets are prone to health problems when they reach middle age. Also be sure to check the legalities of ferret ownership where you live

I have wanted a ferret, but my parents won't let me. I have played with them at the pet store and they are fun to play with. Exept if you have a dog, the dog might eat the ferret. Also the people at the pet store told me that ferrets can easily sneak in and out of cages, and will steal thing like keys and hide them. Also they will eat animals like rabbits or hamsters things like that.

Ferrets as pets...hmmmmm. Lets see: They BITE, they STINK even after you have them fixed and descented (remember, they're related to minks and skunks, I think). You can't really housebreak them...just put the litter pan (one with high sides please) in the corner that they decide they want to poo in that week.
They are smart, playful, and entertaining tho. I've had them. Had one that helped babysit my infant. If the baby was crying he would come and try to get my attention, then get me to follow him. I've got pictures of him sleeping on the blanket on the floor, WITH the baby. But that was over 20 years ago.
Would I do that same thing again? No. I've grown a brain since then.

No, they're vicious bastards. We had two pet ferrets once. They killed our pet magpie and our neighbour's ducks. We had to kill them. It's very difficult to keep them caged up. And here in NZ they're a threat to native birds.

I don't think you can have them as pets, but they seem to be fun little animals, like cats, but move around more
