Something a little odd happened a few days ago. It happened here in the "Politics" category. I posted a question. I referred back to it a few minutes later. There were only two answers. Yet there were 4 (four!) "Thumbs Up" referring to one answerer. Can someone rate an answer without offering an answer? This is the second time this has happened.

There is nothing to be paranoid about here. Anyone can rate an answer (one rating per account) without actually answering the question. Calm down.

Yes, I rate answers all the time but I do not answer. Some questions are too low brow to answer but they often provoke good answers, warranting a thumbs up.
