My breasts hurt periodically. Its a somewhat sharp and hard pain. I have never had this problem before. I'm 16. Is this period/pms related or what???

It could be, but you should consult your dr and ask them. I had that problem as well and on a good note they say that cancer is very rarely painful. I had to have a mammogram (not as bad as most make it out to be) and an ultrasound and found out I have cysts. He put me on the pill and now I rarely have a problem.

If it's both breasts, then chances are that it IS hormone-related. At 16 you've got quite the hormone war going on and that can cause all sort of strange symptoms in your body. If it concerns you, then you should not hesitate to see a doctor, if for no other reason than to put your mind at ease.

Apart from this being normal at around the time of your period, your breasts are still growing and going through hormonal changes. If you're really not happy about this, see your doc or nurse, but it's pretty normal

Pappy ,you need to state the frequency of these pains and what stage of your period they occur for anyone to be able to give you accurate information.
I would suggest discussing this with your doctor who is better equipped to check you out and give you a more informed opinion
