I'm successful because I feel as if I accomplished the most important things in live.....health, family and respect education, knowledge and forward thinking, not to mention I am well loved and able to reciprocate that love..........

Basically I'm at peace with my self, If I were to die tomorrow I feel that I put forth a valiant effort for a complete life......

When I am able to do my job well, I feel a measure of success because I was able to assist others. Sometimes that requires a lot of patience and insight because I work as an aide at a middle/high school!!

When I accomplish my goals, or improve in some aspect I feel successful. Also, socially I know many people care about me and I care about them.

Not every day is a success, sometimes there are tough times, but overall I do feel successfull.

Wow -- Private P -- who is the first answer here wrote EXACTLY what you would expect. She wrote exactly what the corporations and the media hope that you will believe: money and posessions make you a success.

THIS IS NOT TRUE FOLKS --

I am a success because my wife loves me and my children love me and I am respected for my ideas and appreciated for the way I make people feel good.

There are so many other measuring sticks that Private P could use but she is a product of an educational system that is controlled by a corrupt government that wants us to be nothing more than STUPID consumers.

Good luck stupid consumers. It's sad.

Success is the smile on the face of your partner in the morning. It is the real love your family offers. It is knowing that you contributed something good to the world today.

Yes, I am successful.

I am successful in what I do. I grew up without my parents, and lived with my Aunt and Uncle, who taught me that you must have faith, hope and charity. I have had all of them in my life. I am happily married for 45years, I have a daughter and a son, I have 2 grandsons, 1 from my oldest daughter who passed away 3 years ago. Today I spend my time giving my love and care to my grandchildren and teach them as I taught my own. I help as many people as I can. I love cooking, and going to Atlantic City every 5 months. At my age nothing could get better. I will be going to my 50 anniversary of my grade school in October, and looking forward to it. I feel you don't have to be a lawyer, a doctor, or a professional to be success full. Just be yourself.

Yes I am!! I have a good paying job that I enjoy doing, excellent benefits, very secure. My house is just right, in a decent upper middle class neighborhood, have a pool, jacuzzi, $40 thousand boat, and a truck to match, plus, am not up to my ears in debt. I have worked very hard to get where I am, but feel very good about succeeding thus far. I am happy, married to a wonderful man who works every bit as hard as I do to accomplish our common goals.

And, dearest snow, you are an idiot, becaues I have only a sixth grade education, and have almost literally pulled myself up by the bootstraps, I have been homeless, a crime victim, and live hand-to-mouth the majority of my life. I have been in a bad marriage, watched my loved ones die of cancer, and be victims of their own stupidity. As the result of all of this experience, I have learned what to aboid, what to hold onto, and to be responsble and take care of myself, and protect my future. So, yes sir or ma;am,. I sure as hell am "Successful", vey much so, and am happy as hell too, have a loving, honest marriage to a equally "Sucessful" man, we are NOT required to be poor, or to live in a hovel to be happy on the inside, where it is most important.

Anyone who ssays "money cannot but happiness", does not have any money. that is a crock of bull, money is needed for all things that keep you alive, money can actually buy your life, check it out, if you need a heart transplant, then you will see
