first disconnect the power cord in the back
wait for a minute for the power to drain out
touch the frame of the case to discharge any static before you touch the inside of the comuter
disconnect the cable that attaches the power supply to the motherboard
disconnect all the power cables to all the components in the computer (be careful, don't use too much force)
unscrew the power supply from the back of the case
Last step: slide the power supply out the back of the case.
You're done

Unplug the computer. Remove the left access panel. Disconnect each of the wires that come from the power supply that go to the motherboard, drives, fans and so on. Remove the screws (usually only 4) that hold the power suplly to the backplane.

Very Carefully! First you have to take off the side of your case, make sure you have discharged yourself of all electricity because you could create a shock. You have to unplug everything that the power supply is pluged into like hard drives and any type of cards. Next you have to unscrew some screws holding it in and then you will be able to slide it out. Putting in a new one is a little more tricky. Good luck.

it's simple, you just open the computer and take out the 4 screws in the back that hold on the power supply and pull off the wires and it's out.

but unplug the computer first
