All of Stephenie Meyers books are awesome, but why did she go and leave Edward out? He's the glue that holds the book together!

You are not alone. I did like how she kept Edward in the book through Bella's thoughts. But I have to admit that him being gone for so long made the ending that much more better. When he came back I saw that the book was almost finished I didn't want the story to end. Can't wait for the next one :)

Well, the first book was quite lovey dovey. I think she had to add a lot of conflict to the relationship which I think made a better and stronger story. And I thought that adding Jacob kind of made up for Edward so all was not lost haha. So I have to say I wasn't completely dissapointed and Bella is after the main character...Edward is like a co-main character lol...But I have quite a few friends who would completely disagree with that last statement. :D

*Sigh* I, too, missed Edward, although now I adore Jacob as well. Just... not for Bella. Sorry, I'm a sucker for vampires, I suppose.

Anyway, I don't think it was "leaving Edward out," per se. He had a reason, albiet a stupid thought process (Right, Bella will just "get over you," that's it.) Have you been to her website? She explains the whole process of writing New Moon, and there's deleted scenes and info on her other works.

I don't know...it's like, I missed Edward, but honestly? If the whole book was fluffy and happy, I'd have been extremely bored. On the other hand, angsty, listless Bella got a bit boring after awhile too. (and no, my name isn't Bella because of the book, if you were wondering. If you weren't, carry on with your normal activities ♥ )
