There are many people that appear to be frauds, but they are very happy. I've found that people will do anything just to get noticed and honored.

There are people who do just as you describe, and feel happy about it. It gives them a sense of accomplishment that until challenged, helps them to feel good about themselves. They tend to do these things because they want attention for some reason. Personally, being me is the most important thing, because there will be something that I can do for someone else that no one else could provide. Even if that is just a cup of water to a thirsty person, then it was something worthwhile. Attention getting can lead to being ostracized. Doing good for the sole purpose of doing good, tends to bring recognition that can make you feel worthwhile and is far better than anything made up to draw attention to one's self.

i personally don't get a buzz out of either one, which probably means that there are people who get buzzes out of things like buying it yourself. People just want to be somebody and they'll pay through the nose to do that

don't our president and vice president seem like happy people to you ? ;-) btw your spelling of hono(u)r indicates you may be british in which case the same applies to your fascist wimp, blair. final observation: only a true sociopath or psychopath, a true consciousness and conscience *less* troglodyte can be a selfish , fraudulent, greedy, individual and maintain happiness. us poor fools with consciences, etc. would be quite the opposite, i'm sure, since we care about others ;-)

No. The conscience won't let you be happy with yourself, knowing that you have done a fraudulent, dirty deed.
The conscience will eat away at you like a cancer and destroy your well-being.
