If I were you, I will totally avoid hawker foods as they are contaminated with cockroaches and rats. Yo do not know what is happening when they closed the shops at night. I have seen in many instances many when they fumigate the restaurants and bars at those hawker centres or the boat quay. You can see the number of cockroaches and rats lying dead in the morning. I understand that these are unavoidable but it is better to be safe than sorry. EAT AT HOME or visit reputable Establishment.

Great, inexpensive food at hawker centres. Best food? My favorites are Hainanese chicken rice, laksa, satay, char kway teow and roti prata. happy eating!

wonton noodles, minced pork and mushroom noodles (bak chor mee), hokkien fried prawn noodles.
Just go for the stall with the longest queue or the most patronised!
