Change ALL your lightbulbs to energy efficient bulbs. Turn your lights out when you leave the room and the house. Carpool more. Have energy efficient appliances, windows, doors, and vehicles. Try out solar. Get an instant hot water heater (coil) and chuck the old conventional hot water heater. It saves money and never runs out of hot water. Recycle paper, glass, plastic, copper, alluminum etc.

And that should help!

Any student can contribute to environmental preservation. One can reduce energy consumption: use public transportation; turn off lights when leaving a room, etc. Also, one can reduce/reuse/recycle. Buy items that have less packaging; give away things one no longer needs (instead of throwing them away); buy articles that are used insted of used; recycle whenever possible. Any of these things would be a good start.
