Yup. You forgot to set it equal to something. You can't solve it like that because it's not an equation, unless it's a function then you just plug in numbers.
You can't just set it equal to zero, but if it equals zero, then the people above solved it for you. I suggest you write the problem correctly next time so that you don't get too many unnecessary comments.
