You can find out through CVS testing at 12 weeks or earlier. You can find out through amnioscentisis or ultrasound at 16 weeks. My Dr. didn't give me an ultrasound to find out the sex until I was 29 weeks!!! That was miserable, especially because I have to patience whatsoever!!

you can usually tell on the ultrasound anywhere between 16-20 weeks (depends on doctor exactly when its done) or on amnio even earlier than that...BUT theres always a chance babys legs will be crossed or he/she will be turned and they wont be able to see. I am currently pregnant with my 4th baby and when i had my second I didnt find out till he was born even though i had 3 ultrasounds during the pregnancy

Usually at 5-6 months. Even if they can detect the sex earlier it is better to wait until they have a better more accurate view of whats going on. Also there is the myth that if you are carrying round and high its a boy-low its a girl.

I am currently preggers with my 2nd child. I found out at 20 weeks. That is when they say is the most accurate. Anytime before that then they can't be really sure. And just remember that ultrasound isn't 100 percent accurate. Hope this help and good luck!

My doctor told me at my last visit that they like to find out between 18 to 20 weeks.
I go on the 8th to find out what we are having and I will be 18 weeks and 3 days.

It is best to find out the sex around 20 weeks but you can find it out as early as around 16 weeks.

The doc told me any time between 18-20 weeks, but he told me to wait until 19. I find out this Friday, when we will be 19 weeks and 1 day. : )

I think it's around 18 weeks that they do an ultrasound to check everything, and they can tell you the sex then.

I was able to find out by ultrasound at 18 weeks. It may be possible earlier now.
It is possible earlier by amniocentesis which is used to check for disorders.

will they did an ultrasound on my mom at 12 or14 wks and right there they told her it was a boy, you could see his little thing. so when its a boy you can tell right away
