In the Bio Lab class, teacher gave us a lot of different types of cells in one plate to look in the microscope, so everyone had to look and identify which one is which, what is the name of the cell they found.

I was the only one who didn't find any cell in my plate. The whole class found 3 cells and we needed to find 4 cells and identify them. I didn't know how to use the microscope. I went to the tutoring lab but that didn't help me at all.

Tomorrow, I have the lab class again, I feel so stupid and very nervous.

relax, I study science at university and even people who've been looking down microscopes for years have problems. Its all about getting used to setting it up properly. Ask for help, listen and try. Hope everything works out.

If you have trouble using the microscope, use the manual, and do lots of practice. It takes a while to get used to focusing at the right level.

If you have trouble identifying the cells, you can search for the type of cell online and get very good images, or get a copy of Wheater's Functional Histology to read.

Been there, done that. I know, you want to crawl in a hole and and never come out. I got a really low score on a pop quiz in Science, and I started to cry. Also, a teacher asked me a question that I didn't know so I started tearing up. I'm a really emotional person, it's just who I am. I can't change that. That might be how you are too. Embaressment doesn't last forever, trust me, you will forget about it. Plus, if nobody saw, that I'm sure it's no big deal. Your teacher wasn't being very fair either!

talk to your teacher privately, you may need extra help for a while. If it continues to be problem talk with your parents and your school counsellor. You may want to drop the class and try again later.
Good luck

Explain to your teacher quietly that you have a problem with this assignment. If the teacher is any good (most are), she/he should help you without embarrassing you.
