My concerns center around manipulation of the government by "the industry" to increase their profit margins at any cost and the effects those decisions have had on consumers, employees, and suppliers. What did you think after reading Fast Food Nation?

The amount of children who are raised on that crap and are most likely going to pass on the fast food living to their children.

Also, the manipulation of advertising that is aimed at children.

THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!

The descriptions of the meatpacking plants made me ill.
My chief thought after reading the book, though, was - we consumers ought to be smarter than this! For every ad that sells fast food, there's another that points out the hazards of obesity and unhealthy eating. If we don't buy, they can't sell. Time for a boycott! (I've already started mine - I eat fast food maybe once a year, and not from the giant chains.)
