Which did you prefer? The book ending where Clarice runs off into the sunset with Hannibal or the movie ending where Hannibal chops off his own hand to escape, leaving Clarice unharmed? Which did you like and is the book ending believable???

Movie ending. I was so disappointed when I reached the end of the book I almost didn't want to see the movie.

Neither ending is believable. If you suspend disbelief enough to feel Lechter would have left Starling alive, I guess it's easier to believe he would chop off his hand versus dragging a kidnap victim around the world.

The book was WAY better then the movie. There were alot of differences throughout the whole thing. have you read Red Dragon and seen that movie as well?
