I am a migraine sufferer and have had them for years. I had one while I was pregnant with my third child (at 7 months) that was unbearable. I called my OB who told me to take Tylenol. I did but within about two hours was vomiting because the nausea from the headache was so bad. I called the OB back and she sent me to the emergency room. They gave me a pain shot that made me sleep for several hours and when I woke up the headache was gone. I asked about the danger to the baby and they told me that you have to weigh the benefits against the risks. The risk of me doing damage to the baby by throwing up and becoming dehydrated was more dangerous than giving me the shot. She also told me that it was the same painkiller they give in labor. I felt much better the next day and didn't have another one the rest of my pregnancy.

Sorry when your pregnant without your Ob's consent you can only take Tylenol. You can take 2 ,500 mg every 4 hours though. Plus i suggest a cool cloth on you forehead laying down feet up in a dark quiet place where you can get some rest. Call you ob Dr. in the morning they can give you a script for something stronger if the headache still is there and the Tylenol is not working. Wish you the best......

Don't take anything without consulting your OB doctor- if you don't have one yet- get one.
