He said he had nothing to do with it.

Re: "If he said he didn't do it, who was responsible?"

I have no idea. I'd like to see him arrested for fomenting terrorist activity, but as fas as 9/11 goes, there's no direct connection with him. If nothing else, he has served as a convenient bogey man. He has and continues to encourage all Muslims to attack American and allied interests anywhere in the world. His root issue is that he wants America out of Saudi Arabia, because he'd like to end the Saud family's rule of that country. The US supports the Saud family, seeing it as a factor for stability in the region. This support of the House of Saud goes back to WWI and the final collapse of the Ottoman Empire rule of the region as an ally of Germany during that war.

I don't think there was ever a reason given other than to strike a blow against the 'infidels' - that's the view of the Islamic fundementalists so I guess Bin Laden subscribes to that way of thinking as well.

If you had seen how the Muslims danced and shouted in joy when they learned of 9/11, you would probably have not asked your question.

In war, the evils that men do become more pronounced and America has brought untold miseries to Muslims in Aghanistan, home to Osama who himself, after being sponsored by the US to fight Russia, was abandoned, outlawed and later branded as a terrorist freezing his assets and putting a price on his head.

I can't remember...

Osama bin Laden is part of Al Qaeda, the supposed terrorist group that was behind 9/11. U.S. blamed Al Qaeda and now we're in this sh*thole because of George Bush.

:(

Since we have done certain things that went against what OBL and his group wanted, they have considered us 'infidels' and pronounced jihad or 'religious war' on us. I'd heard the reasons, but now I can't remember. Something to do with allowing the Jews on the Holy Land, I think.

Seriously, because according to their religion they believe the United States is the 'Anti-Christ.'

Because he wants us not to have a military presence in the middle east. That's what he has always said.
