It sounds like a problem with your central heating. You should call a professional if you are sure it's blowing out cold air.

In the meantime, keep your curtains open in the day time, check for leaks in the windows, maybe even cover the windows with plastic to stop drafts. Close them as soon as you lose the sun so you keep the heat inside. And get some extra blankets.

But if your heater is acting wonky, you should get it checked before the heat goes out in the rest of the house.

Good luck.

If you have a crawl space under your house instead of a basement it's possible that your heat run has came loose from the vent (heat register) in your room. Sometimes a wild animal or a cat will get under your house in cold weather and rip your air duct down ( if it is flex duct) to get to the warmth. Also you should keep all doors in the house open so that hot air can be circulated through the whole house.

do you have a cold air return to that room? If not thats the problem. It has been working like blowing into a pop bottle. That's why the heat ain't getting in the room. Specially when the door is closed.
