Ok-I was so upset when I heard they picked Jennifer Aniston. She is not a very good actress. They why did they changed so much compared to the book.

Opinions please.

If you didn't like the move and like to read . The book is so much more better and there is a lot more detail to the movie.

Lucinda is dark haired and more if an unknown origin.

I haven't read the book, and I didn't really care for the movie.

I read the book and saw the movie, and while I think that the movie stands on its own and is rather underrated, they did change a lot from the book, especially the setting and the ending. I actually thought that Jennifer Aniston was a good choice for the role, although I was surprised to hear that she was playing the role given how Lucinda is described in the book; her performance was more nuanced than the one-note femme fatale that you'd get out of a lot of actresses, and while she's not the first person you think of when you think "dark and mysterious", the change in hair color and the wardrobe did enough, I think.

I am rarely happy with the adaptation of books to the big screen. The only time I've ever been even slightly happy is with the LOTR series and the Harry Potter movies.
