How can I invent a machine ?

I have an idea of inventing a machine which will be very helpful for the cardiac patient But I dont know how to go to the second step.
which is the real creation process.pls if any body knows help me

I would suggest that you contact a Patent Attourney. No only can they help you apply for a patent, but also help you with progressing your idea.

Hmm...you sound very smart...try talking to a couple of doctors, get the word out! Maybe you could get grants.
