I have read about chimpanzees being very baaaad to tangle with. I think I would try my luck with the dog....

Is a chimpanzee like a trunk monkey? If it is then I say chimpanzee. Those dang trunk monkeys don't take no crap!
150lb dog is to fat to move. Show him a twinky and he'll turn into a teddy bear. A trunk monkey will kick your a** and eat your twinky.

I honestly don't know which is potentially the most dangerous, but I'd be more afraid of a trained attack dog.

Probably a chimp, because they are wild. Dogs at heart can be trained.... and possibly scared off

When come down to it, both would be quite scary, in their own right. The chimp can actually punch, slap and sratch. But, both have some pretty fearsome teeth.

ill take dog over monkey anyday monkeys spread the freakin ebola and are rumored to have been the start of aids also oooh and that crazyazz monkey screech would scare the hellll out of me

I have a pittbull mix rott- and my Lad was fighting my poodle, and he attacked me, and my pitt got him, and outweighs her by a good 50 pounds!
so neither, I'll just take my little pitt with me ((:
