Our local pig....excuse me HOG chapter especially seems to have a problem with it.

I've owned Honda's, Yamaha's, Triumph and Harley. I am
presently the proud owner of two Drifters (and I'll ride anywhere with anyone of you) .....its not what ya ride, its the fact that ya ride

HOG Chapters tend to have closed rides, for HOG members only. I used to belong to the local HOG chapter, but my lovely wife couldn't go because she doesn't ride an HD. Once a year the local HOG chapter has a charity run where they accept anyone. For the most part the HOG folks are great people. My wife and I know lots and lots of HD riders, from all walks of life (including 1%ers) and while a lot of them tease non-HD riders none of them are serious about it. If they are, they aren't worth your time - move on.

Some do, some don't. My husband has a honda that looks like a harley. We ride with other cruiser type motorcycles, just because that's what we own. Some people just think Harley is the best. Personally our bike hardly ever breaks down and has a coolant system, and doesn't overheat like alot of our friends with harley's. Just a preference I guess. just like some guys like crotch rockets over cruisers. Harley's are american made, so a lot of people feel like this is the bike to buy, and you are a traitor if you buy anything else.

I don't know about official HOG chapters but unfortunately where I live there is a lot of posturing by both sides. I myself don't particularly care for Harley as a company but some of their bikes are nice, just not $20,000 nice, of course I also don't care for the local Busa boys (I think thats what they call themselves), they try to race everyone and even suckered me in a couple of times but they lost, just goes to show you it doesn't matter how powerful a Busa is, if you can't handle the twisties someone like me on a SV650 will make you look like an idiot, hehe.

Why could fellow bikers run one yet another off the line whilst the cages are killing us left and proper! i've got lost 2 stable acquaintances in the final 2 months, one street a Honda, the different street a Harley. Cages took the two certainly one of them out. advance up and comprehend that each physique and multiple prepared to strap on a motorbike in at present's site visitors is a brother/sister.

no i dont know anyone like that.and i'm not suprised the local hog chapter is like that it's speficlly for harleys it doesn't mean they look down on others though.it would be no diefferent than the ford enthusiasts car club, they don't look down on other ppls cars but it's for fords?
in case you dont know most clubs rides are closed to other ppl thats why occasionly they have rides that are open to all,and that includes other gangs.even(hahahalol)outlaw biker gangs(hahahalmao)lay thier differences aside at times.

I know what you mean. I have a Suzuki SV 650. I am getting a Victory. It is night and day in the respect dept. Not sure why. I guess there is some sort of insecurity or something. Ride on.

"Its not what ya ride, its the fact that ya ride", your words.
How much would I have to pay you to ride a pink Honda Rebel wearing white leathers into Laconia or Sturgis?

i ride with those that show respect. there's a couple of guy's i would ride with anytime, and they dont ride a harley, and they dont act high and mighty talkin $hit. i dont care if a dude rides a scooter, as long as he dont diss my bike, i wont diss his; but there's alot of poser's who think their all that, and think harley is still in the amf days.
