I've been thinking about this alot and I'm wondering if it's incorrect to call a black peron born in the US an African American. Many black folks in the US have not the slightest idea of African Culture. We don't call whites Euro Americans so it seems fitting not to call blacks African Americans. Anyone born in the US is just an American in my eyes.

I believe it's incorrect to call a black person born in the U.S. an African-American.

If I wanted to add my lineage, I would call myself a Welsh-German-American.

I carry the proud title of "American" while not adding my lineage.

Ha, you are not to come up with this theory.

There are blks of all nationalities living in the States and they are reduced to the same title as African American. I am included in this, which I have learned to get over...well, if you have any ideas on how to change this...

African americans are black people with african desendents or ancestors. Just because I was born in america doesnt mean I'm not dominican. Just because you know nothing about it doesnt mean your not apart of it.

Not having the slightest idea of African culture does not stop you from having african ancestry.

Sorry to burst your uppity bubble, but your ancestors came FROM africa in a boat stored like chattle!

get over it
