Well I'm 13 and I know what I would want if I was fifteen! If he likes:
Music: Ipod/MP3 Player
Sports:(Depends on what sports he plays)
Hanging out w/ friends: CELL PHONE (Prepaid/Cheap)
Video Games: Ask him about what he likes but dont make it obvious.
Nerd/Geek:Something Sciency or Interesting
Average Cool Kid: Money,gift card,etc
Give him some rewards like going to see a movie w/ friends or getting an allowance for chores (if he doesnt already get one)

Kids these days are crazy for the ipod. And computer gaming systems, especially the Wii. And, of course, gift certificated to Best Buy or his favorite clothing store always work.

of course a 15 year old male would want a gaming system or an i pod. my cousin got an psp and he was crazy about it! i would say a psp would help

I have a 15 year old son and he wanted money but you have to be careful giving them money nowadays, so we opened him a savings account so he could start saving for car expenses.

an old car that he can spend weekends fixing up so he wont be out in the streets hanging out with friends and getting into trouble.
