I have a comcast HD box,I just wanted to know if the couple of USB & the eithernet ports have any use at all. Does anybody know.

Not at this time, there are some programs out there you can hack into it if you really want to, but it is a fairly involved process. The official line from Comcast/Motorola is that it is a feature not supported at this time.

You can copy from a Comcast DVR to a DVD recorder. I do it all the time.

Both answers are correct.I wanted to record from movies I saved on DVR and put them on to my DVD recordable.Everything to do it with is there,but it says you can't do it right now.So much for the 135.00 dollars a month I pay for cable.

refractor is CORRECT these ports are not activated
