Is it normal at 18 to be thinking about having a baby? My boyfriend and I are not trying or anything and use birth control but I'm just wondering if any other girls have ever felt that before, like wanted a baby, but didn't really want to go through with it you know?

yes. i wanted the whole "happy family cute baby thing" when i was 17 and 18 and then right before my 20th birthday, i got pregnant...and realized how STUPID that was.
i was WAY too young. i was still just a kid, trying to figure out what this whole "adult" thing was about.
i love my son, but i wish i had waited a bit longer.

it is kind of normal cause alot girls around that age are getting pregnant and most want 2 fit in but a guess wanting 2 have a baby is normal that's just what u want
with me i wanted 2 have a baby 2 know what it felt like
now am 18 going 2 be 19 soon and having my first child in august

I remember wanting one when I was 14. I of course never tried until much later. I can tell you the reason I wanted one was because I was lonely and unhappy in my life. I thought having a baby would give me a purpose and that the love i would get in return would make it all better. I'm almost 22 and I just had a baby. She does make me feel like I have a reason to be alive every day, but that is definitely no reason to have one. It seems like you know that. Just make sure when you do have one it is for the right reasons and that you are capable of caring for a child: financially, emotionally, and time wise as well. They are a huge committment and you can't take it back once your in that boat.

i got married at 18 and pregnant at 19 and am very happy my baby is 7 mths old. Things can work out well if it happens to girls at 18. but unless you are in a financially stable and in a committed relationship with a guy that is wanting to have a baby too,or are comfortable with and financially stable enough alone to do the single parent thing it is probably not a good idea to have a baby at any age

ive been wanting a baby ever since i was 15. It's completely normal. It just goes to show that you have a motherly instinct. but dont act on it, unless you truly are ready. I'm in my 3rd month of pregnancy, and it was surely a suprise!! im 17 now.

Yeah, it's very normal, but I would advise you to live it up a litte first as an adult. After a baby, anything that you do, you have to think of the baby first.

I never wanted a baby... And now im pregnant and super excited about it!!! So for me it worked the other way around!!!!
