Vitamins are always a good idea when TTC. Only one that I might suggest is that it is recommended that you up the does of folic acid. Take one of them separately - 1 mg tab.

Best thing would be to talk to your Dr. and see how your general health is and that your body is prepared to have a baby. Planning ahead is a good idea. Thing is we know nothing about your eating habits, if they are good and your health is good, that is probably all your Dr. may recommend. There are also prenatal vitamins that are made specifically for your needs.

If you decide to get into using herbs, than you need to look at what is good and what isn’t. Some can help, some can hinder.

Good luck with TTC. If you want some more information on TTC, charting etc.. feel free to check out the site below or contact me.

Although you can meet almost all of your nutritional needs through a balanced diet, many experts believe that even the healthiest eaters can use extra help. You may find it particularly hard to eat well when you're at work or parenting other children, so taking a prenatal vitamin ensures that you're getting enough folic acid and other nutrients to boost your chances of conceiving.

Remember that a supplement is a safeguard, not a substitute for a sound diet. And since regular over-the-counter multivitamins may contain mega doses of vitamins and minerals that could be harmful to a developing baby, it's smart to switch to a pill formulated specifically for pregnant women.

Those who consume a vegetarian diet may also need Vitamin D and B12 supplements in addition to extra protein.

Talk with your doctor or chemist/pharmacist about the right prenatal supplement for you.

The best vitamin to take while TTC is a basic prenatal vitamin! By taking these up to 2 months before you get pregnant, it reduces the chance of your child being born with spina bifida by over 80%! For a good vitamin to take to increase your chances of getting pregnant try FertilAid.

When you are just trying to conceive the only thing you need to do is to eat healthy. That is the best way to get vitamins -- thru food, not supplements. Unless you are a poor eater, then ask your doctor for advice.

Any vitamin you can buy at Walmart is NOT good for you.
