The root word sanguine refers to blood. To exsanguinate refers to lose blood volume by bleeding out.

Something sanguinous would be something blood-like. Example; The tomato juice I ordered looked somewhat sanguinous.

The Spanish wine Sangria was named that for it's red coloration...it appears sanguinous.
