Please help me in detail. I know very little about computers. I thought if I put it in a zipper file it would work but it wasn't in jpg format. My existing picture is 101k and it has to be 100k or smaller.

The only decent answer here is from Coolest Ghost. And even it is a littler lacking.

Cropping an image to reduce file size is idiotic. There are many ways to simply reduce file size by reducing the quality a small bit. Such as in Adobe Photoshop. The user has 12 levels of quality. You can drop the file from 12 to 8-10 to drop off a few kilobytes from its size then send.

However, if you want to retain quality and/or don't have any decent photo editing software, I'd recommend using a site such as ImageShack ( http://www.imageshack.us ) to upload your image to their site. Then just email the link to the image. It's free, allows for a much higher file size limit (something along the lines of 1.5 megabytes), and, overall, is far more convenient.

right click on the picture that you want to resize you should see something that says edit click it when you click it it should open paint after paint if opened click on the select tool after that move your mouse to the picture and hold it down over the picture and then you should see a little box around the picture click on the sides to resize them then click file and save it will save it to a jpg file

use windows paint or some editor, and try to "crop" the picture. basically, you're making the picture smaller therefore, less size, but the bad part is u have to make sure you dont cut off any parts you want in the picture.

The best software thats free (in my opinion) for image editing is Paint.Net. You can download it from getpaint.net. It has features that can compare to Adobe Photoshop.
