Like the Madison or Milwaukee area. Would go as far as Wisconsin Dells for a day trip.

The museum of science and industry has a really cool exhibit called body world. It'll be there until april 29 I think. Check it out though. I'm going on sunday. I've heard nothing but good things! A little pricey though...

Sometimes the best way to go, as I have found out, is to simply close your eyes while a map of the state is in front of you, and put your finger on down. Wherever the tip of your finger is, is where you go! Sometimes half the fun of a day trip is simply driving to wherever you are going! Take a chance. Have a little fun with it. Wel unless you are already there, a short trip is Lake Geneva, but not sure if yo are looking for roller coasters or parties. The have some good resturants like Popeye's. ( Not the chicken place) kind of interesting shops downtown. Just a thought.

Hi...you should check out the southeast corner of Minnesota and that county in the northeast of Iowa, Winnieshek, I think. It is where Decorah is. That area is very scenic, there is amish country and antiquing, I plan to explore that area myself. If you bicycle, there are great trails to use in that area.
