You have to go to college 4 years regular college and then 3+ med school + residency and internship and depending on what you want to specialize in but over all it takes 8 to 12 years to complete med school and here in N.C. we have Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, then it"s Duke and University Of N.C. at Chapel Hill. They all are excellent medical schools not just for this country but we have tons if students from every corner of the planet as well.Go on line and check em out .My personal preference is Wake Forest and Second choice would be Duke. Hope this helps you and it's tough but worth it in the end.

In order to go to medical school, you have to get your bachelors degree from an undergraduate university (4 years), and you take the MCAT test, and apply to med school which is about 4 years, and add internship and residency for a few more years it adds up to a total of about 10-11 years. Some top medical schools are yale, harvard, johns hopkins univ, ucsf, ucla, stanford etc.
