I'm not trying to be a party pooper, really...i'm even from Indy. But i just can't help thinking if we could get the entire country so riled up for something ELSE...like a huge concert to benefit say, AIDS in Africa, or maybe even an event to show unity amongst Americans and stand up against racism....I think its GREAT people get so happy on Super Bowl Sunday, it's nice to see. But it would be so cool if we could also get so happy and make a tradition one day of the year to have a giant celebration with celebrities, etc. for a REAL CAUSE and everyone has parties in their homes to celebrate the day...

...OR, who doesn't care about any of the stuff I just said, but just really isn't excited about the Super Bowl??? :)

Your ideas are good and I could care less about the Super Bowl.

i'm with you, guy. each and every of the regulars in this section who're famliar with me knows that i'm an excellent football fan. notwithstanding, this SB matchup would not really resonate with me. I recommend, i have been glued to the television set throughout all earlier SBs---even even as the game is a blowout (a la Ravens vs. Giants in 2000), yet tomorrow's sport isn't doing something for me. And even as I also resented the BCS matchup (2 SEC communities, which pisses me off), i in my opinion appeared extra ahead to that sport than I do to tomorrow's SB. i wager i am going to track in, yet I is merely no longer taken aback to locate myself ending my study papers, staring at the game on mute.

That sounds like a good idea, but the money you spend on the party? May I suggest skipping the party and sending money you would have spent on the party to the charity of your choice?
