I had a friend who didn't marry until she was in her mid 30's. I can only imagine she felt some of the same things you are now. She married a very wonderful man. Be patient, it will happen when you least expect it.

No, I wouldn't go to those extremes if I were you, if you want to cut your hair, go for it, it grows back if you don't like it short, I don't advise you gain the weight, I am finding in my 30's it doesn't come off very easily, as for the cats, that is a personal preference. Don't give up on love, just be happy with your current life, and accept that right now is not the time for you to be married. When you least expect it, someone will enter your life and will bring you into marital bliss.

Worry not. People come into your life when you least expect it. I was in your shoes when all of the sudden, I met the most beautiful, sweetest most caring girl in the world. It'll happen to you to.
If you want a pet. Get a dog and take the little guy for regular walks. You'll meet someone.

I'm 34 and never been married, people who do get married before 30 are to young anyway...

oh, please! you are so young. i'm older than you are and haven't been married yet. please don't give up - i'm sure you'll meet the right person. i thought i had, but it turned out we wanted different things. hang in there and don't do any of those things you mentioned. you will find someone :-)
