suprisingly they do. for some reason they hate cartoons (i guess all the noise gets them mad)

One night, my cat was stretch out on top of the couch just behind my head. I was watching the some type of episode on Animal Planet that was showing a gigantic scorpion trying to defend itself from a snake. All of the sudden, I did not know what was happening, My cat literally flew forward off the couch (when is only about five feet from the tv) and his head hit square into the middle of the tv. He jumped up and sprung into the tv again. He was after one or both of the critters. When he could not get it from jumping into the screen, he tried to chase it out on the sides of the tv. You had to be there, it was so funny. Scared the daylights out of me too, when he came sailing over my head to get to the tv.

Actually, yes. Our male cat DOES watch the TV frequently.

Yes my dog usually watches it when Animal Planet is on. Sometimes he runs up to the TV and barks. It's really funny to watch.
