I'm a teacher and I go through staplers like nobody's business. The kids get a staple jammed in there and for the life of me I can't figure out a way to dislodge it. I've got 6 staplers in the stapler ICU. Any good advice?

open up the staplers so you can see all the staples and get a small tipped object like a pen or scissors or something and ether push it out the stapler side or go to were in comes out and prie it out. If all else false... it a couple time to try and squeeze a couple staples through, or but a better stapler, like maybe a metal one.

The stapler is a rather simple machine where a "hammer" pushes/strikes a staple, driving it thru sheet(s) of paper to be crimped on an "anvil" placed precisely below the guide-slide-slot for the staple. Open up the stapler; you might have to use some extra effort if the hammer part is stuck. Remove the loaded staples so that the only staple(s) you're dealing with is/are the stuck/jambed one(s).

Use a pair of NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS and a small metal "pick" (or make do with a small nail gripped in the pliers.). These tools should make it quite manageable to remove the stuck/jambed staple(s).
