How do you move to a different state when you don't really have money? I want a new job, just not sure what or how to start

Save up a bit of a travel budget, sell everything you won't need. While you are selling your stuff and getting rid of your apartment keep you job until it is all done. Then just bugger off to a new place.

I wen to Germany 15 years ago from the US with 300 dollars in my pocket and never went back. I found a job with a German company and have lived all over the world working for them.

If you don't have much money you'll have to find a job first. The best scenario would be to try to get a job in a city where you know someone. That person could help you with the want ads and could also maybe be a place to stay while you look for an apartment. It's generally very expensive to move. See if you can find the want ads online for the newspaper of the city and start there. A friend would be able to help you out a lot though.

Unless you really have to move very quickly, I would take a little time before making the move.

You need to figure out where it is you want to move to. Once you know this you want to quickly start to research the city (cost of living there, job market, cost of rent, etc.). You want to learn as much as you can about where you are moving to so that you will be prepared.

You can probably use newspapers, the Internet, and your local library to learn about the job prospects in whatever cities you are thinking about moving to.

I think that you can also get information from the Chamber of Commerce of the city you are thinking about moving to.

Bottom line is that you want to be as prepared as possible before you move, but you don't have to take too long doing your research if you get started right away.

You have to have at least bus fare. To look for a job out of state go to monster.com and look for jobs you think you can get in areas you like. You'll need a resume to apply for them online or you can go to ganett.com. Ganett publishes newspapers in dozens of small cities and you can search the want ads on line in cities that inerest you.

The first thing you need to do is find a source of income in the area... Then see if you can get yourself some place to stay nearby. Do some researching for jobs on sites like snagajob.com or monster.com, or even Craig's list.
Good luck!

i did it....
start with emailing your resume to companies in the new place and saving enough money to pay rent for about 3 months to get started with.

Check the want ads in the town you want to go to, send resumes, and get up and go.
