Why does he get his own personalized stage, dancers, and a marching band?

If you have ever seen Prince perform in concert, you would realize what a fantastic, invloved, and totally committed performer he is. I am happy they selected him to perform at the Superbowl. I also believe he could have sung any number of his own songs - afterall, he has plenty of hits in the barrel from which he could have selected however, in the face of the many different cultures and diversity of people at the game, he probably tried to sing songs that would be relative to everyone. He looked good, he sounded good, his guitar playing and singing was impeccable, his dancers and singers fabulous and because of the nature of the ambience of the game - the used the Florida A/M band- one of the top bands in the country to support not only his music , but to represent the city.They, too did a wonderful job, IN SPITE OF THE RAIN. Finally, when you are as big a star as Prince and have been in this business and have been able to maintain the music with longevity, and still look good and perform well, the stage was his. Every performer of the Super Bowl gets that right of passage.

Why NOT? Is there some set list of songs to be sung at the superbowl...Perhaps the customized stage was because it looked great and he could afford to have any stage he liked...and he happened to like that one (duh),and why not Purple Rain-it WAS raining...so to your 3 questions about the stage, the dancers, and the marching band...I say to you,WHY THE HE_ _ NOT, and just because he can, sure hope the sad and lonelys of the world don't get too bent out of shape about it.
