i have a blue spotted salamander and i was wondering if any of you ever had a salamander that would eat bloodworms from the pet store?

I can see a few problems here. Your salamander is probably terrestrial (unless it's still in the larval stage) and bloodworms are aquatic. You'd have to keep them in a bowl with some water to keep them from drying out. Salamanders are also attracted to movement, so frozen food doesn't really appeal to them. I've raise larval salamanders (spotted, red spotted newt) on bloodworms, but I've always started them on live, them used feeding tongs to simulate movement to convert them to frozen. After a while they'll take them without any movement, but I've never had them eat them after they've moved to land. For all the terrestrial salamanders I've kept, I feed small crickets, earthworms (may have to chop these up), or flightless fruitflies.

most salamanders arent fussy abotu food once they get used to living in a captive environment, i would start with wax worms and once he is used to eating try new things

If you found it in southern Veracruz mexico, please make sure it is not the critically endangered Black Spotted Salamander (Pseudoeurycea nigromaculata).
