I seriously doubt it could have been. England was counting on revenue from the colonies to refill coffers depleted by war. England wanted to expand its "empire" and the colonies were a foothold to the west. England did not feel that the colonies needed representation in Parliament, nor did they feel obligated to consult the colonies when taxes or trade provisions were being made.The colonists, having established a thriving home, being two generations away from the original English colonists, desired more autonomy, and economic gain than what England was giving them. They also desired a government that represented their interests, first, a government that was interested in the continued growth of the country as a free and independent nation. England would never have allowed this.

It would have taken a HUGE British army to have killed off every frontiersman, every family member in the colonys! It took that kind of individual to tame the frontier--tough, rugged, individualistic, free thinker and ones that did NOT buckle under domination and control!!!

i do not think so. the colonies were long under supression from england and it got to the point where they just could not take it anymore and it got to be ridiculous
