My windscreen is scratched from the metal part of the wipers rubbing. I have phoned autoglass and they say they only replace windscreens at a cost of £260+ for my p reg escort. Clearly not worth it as i only want to sell the car after repairs. Are there any companies that can repair.

You can polish out the scratches, but your windshield will no longer be flat.
Sell it.

You fone round from yellow pages, Some Fords haf windscreen not bondeed in these can be fit DIY ant got from scrap yart for £30 most windscreen is usually about £ 80 fitted, you pay £ 80 excess ant insurance company pay buger al and say it dem costs £ 300. Iss bolox. Fone local Glass company not National chains.

Yes some can be polished out but a better bet would be go to a scrap dealer and get another screen if its not the bonded type and find someone to put it in for you. should only cost 20-30 quid plus fitting. thats what I think anyhow.

I guess it depends on how bad they are. there are companies that specialise in windscreen repairs, your yellow pages book would be a good place to start looking.

It takes a lot of effort but sometimes Brasso will bring up the scratching as long as it is not too deep.

depends on how deep or how big the area. dont you have windscreen cover on your insurance?

try using a rubbing compound like t-cut. worked in the past.
