Pimples/acne are usually (i say usually because I mean not always) caused by oily skin, so to combat this, a lot of acne products can be very drying. If you find the Proactive moisturiser isn't hydrating your skin enough, you probably need to find a different moisturiser. Use an oil-free, hydrating moisturiser, especially if you're worried about oily skin and acne.
You can still use the Pro-active cleanser and toner if you find that they're working well for you. Some people will say that you need to use a regime with products all from the same line but I disagree, and that's from personal experience. At the moment my skin is great, and I have a different brand for everything, because they work and I love them.
I'm also not a big fan of Proactive. It seems a little harsh on your skin.

Make sure you are not mixing product lines. This is important as each product line is made to work as a "team" to give your skin the best possible look and feel. Cleansers for acne-prone skin must be gentle and non-abrasive and if you are drying out your skin, you need a good moisturizer. There are many excellent products that are reasonably priced (much less that what you are using and less offensive to your skin!) in the Mary Kay product line. If you are in Canada, please check out www.marykay.ca/dgoldrick, if not, please go to the marykay.com site and look for a beauty consultant in your area. We are trained on skin care and to help you with your specific needs. Acne prone skin does not always need something strong, it just needs the RIGHT skincare regimen. Hope this helps...

pro active is one of the biggest fraud products. my daughter had the same problem and I saw no improvment in her skin at all. She is haveing better luck with nutregena. There are many other products out there and some take a dr's perscription. the do not contain peroxide that is the main ingredient in pro active the same thing you get on the shelf. if it didn't work on the shelf it isn't going to work because Jessica Simpson puts her face on it either. noxzema worked better than that crap did.

Shouldn't there be a moisturizer in there? You need to moisturize. If it continues to dry out your skin, then you need to find a different line of acne cleansers.

Having perfect epidermis is all approximately adopting the superb skin care habitual to your particular epidermis sort: oily, mixture, dry or gentle. as quickly as you establish your epidermis sort, you may desire to purchase the air purifier, toner, exfoliator and moisturizer that matches you. For me, I extremely have mixture and gentle epidermis for the duration of the summer season and dry gentle epidermis for the duration of the wintry climate, so I somewhat swap up my habitual for the duration of the wintry climate to contain a thicker moisturizer. for the duration of the completed 12 months, i exploit here products as quickly as an afternoon: - Korres Milk Proteins 3 in a million cleansing Emulsion as a air purifier and make-up remover, - Clinique easy Clarifying Lotion, which acts as the two an exfoliator and a toner, - Vanicream as an eyecream and a moisturizer, or Sephora's oil-loose tinted moisturizer while i opt for slightly coverage I additionally constantly eliminate my make-up earlier going to sleep to stay away from pimples, and that i stay away from touching my face, considering that transfers the oils out of your hands on your face and could additionally reason pimples. so some distance as any face make-up (tinted moisturizer or powder), its constantly oil-loose.

i know what u mean. i have dry sensitive skin, and it sucks!!. but try using a moisturizer before any other make-up, its light and it won't clog your pores. drinking a lot of water also keeps your skin moisten. for a cover-up i use bare minerals. but then again, i don't have pimples. good luck!! :)
