I would like to upgrade to a faster system. I do a lot of video editing, and and find my present system slow. I have been told by Cyberlink to upgrade my video card should I upgrade my motherboard and cpu. I have 1GB of memory. Is there anything else that would help.

I personally wouldn't get a new motherboard without checking with HP's website to see what your cpu is upgradeable to. Buy a good video card, and spend the extra money on another gig of ram instead. Just my opinion, what I would do.

I used Cyberlink products on a 1.6GHz notebook without any issues. Now of course there was a limit to what I could do. I've since then upgraded to a notebook that uses a 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo processor with a 64MB ATI chip. I have 2GB of RAM.

If money is a concern, upgrade your RAM first followed by your video adapter if needed.
