Many , many fish are more aggresive and "meaner" than piranha. Piranha have a bad rep but are actually very shy and docile fish. They kill only for food and very rarely have the nerve to attack anything other than sick or injured fish. A good example of a meaner fish would be the two-spot Pike Cichlid (Crenicichla lepidota). It is a torpedo shaped killing machine and has been documented to kill for sport, one of the very few fish that do so.

Red Bellied Piranhas (Serrasalmus nattereri) are feared by many to be the most aggressive of all freshwater fish. In the wild they are very vicious, but are not found to be so devastating in a aquarium.

I think that they would tie with sharks; because piranhas also eat fruit.
