I don't think all teenagers are all the same (I am a teen), but many are too immature and are exposed to stuff they shouldn't on TV because their parents don't supervise them enough or spend enough time with them. I am not saying that all parents are that way either. Some teens just do things because they think it is cool, but it really destroys their life. For instance, skipping school, drinking, drugs, and/or sex.

On the other hand there are many teens who try to make their lives better and help there community or volunteer at shelters or something so they don't get in trouble. They try to help others and mostly make better decisions and relationships.

I think adults don't give teens enough credit & stereotype them as all having a lot of sex, doing drugs, drinking, and basically being up to no good. Actually, most of the answers on this thread confirm my opinion. I think adults forget what it's like to be a young person & almost be treated like a second class citizen just because of your age. Once you have the privelidge you forget what it's like to be underprivelidged.

In many ways, they are no different - no more sexual, no more delinquint - than we were at that age.

They are probably more "at risk" as far as dangerous drugs and STDs go. At least when we were 17-18, all we had was pot and alcohol....maybe the risk of less fatal sexual diseases.

These days, if the teens are educated, they realize that the stakes are much, MUCH higher.

Depressed?

Interesting observation. I don't have a frame of reference for that, sorry.

I wish them well, in any case.

I think they are WAY TOO sexually involved, and will have a difficult fitting into society because they are used to getting what they want when they want it. Parents are worshiping the almighty dollar and don't fell the need to PARENT their children anymore. It's disgusting.

Teens don't share the exact same outlook. Sure we're stupid some times, but I'm not depressed! They just worry about boys/girls and how they look. Not me! I'm a teen & I don't like the way you talk about us! We are not trash! We are the future, so what are YOU gonna do to help us in OUR future, Huh?

Yeah, well. As a member of that society, I'll agree. A bunch of drunken depressed stuck-up rude and spoiled children, who will grow up, and raise their kids to be the same, only worse. I don't know how it got that way, but uh.. yeah, haha.

I don't think that they are too depressed. I think they have their minds in the wrong direction. It's all about materialistic things and situations. "Let's get famous and be in the spotlight!" "I want to be the center of attention and the envy of everyone." I think that they need to go to boot camp.

They Rock!! They have far more to have to deal with then other generations and the ones I've seen, raising and worked with are very dedicated and committed to a purpose.

The ones that are spoiled are so because of the parent...the parents are accountable. It's their kids that think they are intitled to everything.
