It's your right and duty to vote. Any right unused or misused will soon be deemed unimportant and then the next thing you know is you no longer have it. Don't ever take the freedoms we have as Americans for granted. Many have died before us to give us these rights. This forum is a good example of that. In many countries some of us would be hunted down and disappear for our opinions. Here we call it free speech. Don't forget it!

Yes I do,I think everyone should be given some kind of pop quiz before allowed to vote..,look at the people in ohio that voted for the ban on smoking and most of them didnt know what it was they were voting on..,they found out when it was too late.I look at all my senators and congressmen in my state and send them my opinions..,ie,Brownback..,mr.no show. His record for votes suck because he hadnt showed up half the time.I told him if he couldnt do his job as a senator, what makes him think he could do the job as president.I am waiting for the response for that one lol.Excellent question.

It is very important! Everyone who is eligible should vote.. Absolutely. It is your right and your duty as an American citizen. If you do not vote then you have no right to complain.. ever.

I think it is criminal the huge amount of people who just don't bother.. how selfish!

It's a civic duty. I know my vote won't sway things, but I still do it. I think Australia's form of mandatory voting is a fundamentally good idea.
