No, it is not true. The Chicago neighborhoods of Lakeview and Andersonville have sizable gay populations, but the City of Chicago, just like other cities across the country, are majority straight.

I've heard that if you call a man from Chicago gay then you have a forty-seven percent chance of being right. This doesn't seem realistic to me.

Unfortunately this fact is untrue. We do have an area called "Boystown" that seems to be predominantly gay, but that is just one area.
