july is our mid winter time in south africa. frosty mornings in johannesburg. temps rarely drop below -1 at night, and can warm up to +15 in the day if not more. be prepared for lots of rain lol..

So I have two questions to ask you.
Where is she coming from? Because Winter (its winter in July in the Southern Hemisphere) cold is relevant - those living in SA think their weather is cold but if you come from Europe or Northern America or Canada then Winter in Southern Africa is the same as Spring or Autumn where you come from.
Then the second question is, where is she going? Southern Africa, even South Africa is a big place with 5 or 6 different climatic conditions, depending on which area you are in. From Sub-tropical to Desert.

Well it all depends on where she is planning to go
If South Africa and she is planning to go to the coast, it will be rather cold but not that cold it will be about 17degrees to 24 degrees during the day in the night the temp will fall if she is planning to go in land it it much colder the temp will various between 15 degrees and 20 degrees during the day
I hope this helps

Where in Africa is your wife gonna be? If it's SA, it can get pretty cold there! The morning weather is usually 1-5+ degree C! And in the afternoon it'll probably go in the tens! But this is just vague because I haven't been to SA in over one year!

this is our winterm but it depends where in South Africa - Natal is warm still in winter (22 - 25 Degrees) but Cape Town is colder (10 - 15 degrees and rain and wind)

My friend, do you know how B I G Africa is?
It spans from the temperate zone in the Northern hemisphere to the temperate zone in the Southern hemisphere. North of the equator it will be summer, south of it winter.
Which one of the more than 40 countries in Africa will she visit? And which part of that country?
Rethink your question, please.

It will be hot because it's next to the equator.
