Very few white people ride the bus in Montgomery any more.

if you place a small beacon of light on the top of the mountain. you may notice that the light is not bright and much adequate but if u would view the same mountain from a distance, you will still see that weak sparkle of light....
in short, one ray of light can challenge the entire darkness.. this is the significance of montogomery Bus Boycott..

VERY IMPORTANT in breaking the discrimination against Black Americans--Rosa Parks had the courage to defy the Whites' control of the public transportation in Atlanta by refusing to give up her seat to a White man! Then all of the Black people helping each other in car-pooling every way they could, demonstrated that the system NEEDED the Black peoples' business to STAY in business themselves!! This then led to breaking restrauant desegregation (I think the sequence is right...) and spread through the South and on up throughout the US.
