And you are set - with about the investment of an Old Navy outfit - and these are pieces that you can break up and dress down later for more casual looks. And you may have things like this already in your closet. If you stick to nice rich solids (not patterns) with dressy shoes and jewelry - you will look just fine with minimal effort and be comfortable.
And as long as you don't show up in your "nice jeans" or behave rudely - they will not treat you any differently than their best customer at Ruth Chris.

Its not stuffy there - you can wear a pair of khakis and a button down shirt or sweater set (Target has some nice things fairly cheap).. you dont have to be really dressed up. If there was certification for 'foodies' I'd have it - I dont ever dress like a million bucks but eat at very expensive and trendy places and I am never treated poorly (unless of course its poor service).

Of course not. Casual or business casual is fine. I wouldn't classify Ruth's Chris as being too fancy. Nice, but not stuffy. Enjoy your dinner. And tell them Sean (shawn) sent you. They'll know what you mean.

They treat you with the same respect as anyone else, but you should wear a nice evening gown. The man should wear a jacket & tie or at least a very nice looking sport coat.

Wear the best you have. It is a classy place. As long as you can pay your bill and leave a tip--they won't look down on you.

It doesn't have to be an evening gown, or formal gown. Just a nice dress, street length, will do.

As long as you pay your bill and tip well, it should be fine. You should wear anything you want as long as you do the above.
