Sometimes I get these sharp pains in the area where a tampon goes in. They're not very frequent and only last a second. Its usualy around my period. Is this normal? like cramps or something?

What do you mean "the area where a tampon goes in" are you speaking of your vagina? Why can't you just type vagina? Good grief.

See a doctor, it's not normal.

it might just be a muscle contraction of your body pushing the (period) tissue out.
